The Sea House – Dungloe

A delightful cottage with stunning sea views. The reality even surpassed the lovely photos on the website. The accommodation was very clean and we received a warm welcome from the local manager. We enjoyed lots of beach walks with the dogs. We would highly recommend visits to Carrickfinn beach and Cruit Island. Date of stay: September 2021

The Sea House is a wonderful quiet retreat from the bustle of everyday life. This is our third year to stay. It is so peaceful and the sunsets over the island are amazing. This was the second time we stayed at the Sea House and we look forward to going back. The Sea House is a tastefully restored Irish vernacular Longhouse and is fully appointed with all mod cons. Our stay in Dungloe and the cottage on the Ocean was fabulous. Beautiful area and wonderful people. Sharon was very helpful and responsive. We ran out of oil and lost heat and got water and it was addressed within a couple of hours when we called. Deb and I would come back anytime. I highly recommend staying here.

The Sea House, in Toberkeen, Dungloe, is a perfect cottage hideaway with all modern conveniences. On arrival we were greeted with home baked scones and fresh flowers. There is a spacious kitchen dining area and two comfortable living rooms separate from the bedrooms and washroom area. My two children and I stayed at The Sea House in early June and found it simply the best self-catering cottage we have ever stayed in. It has been carefully restored to provide exquisite accommodation in a stunning position overlooking Aran Island and the Atlantic. The surrounding area is also rich in wildlife such as seals and otters. I shall look forward to returning in the future.

The Sea House is a delightful, welcoming, warm cottage with all you need for a stay in beautiful Donegal. The view from the picture window across the bay constantly changes with the tides and weather. It was all we were expecting and more.

Our nine night stay at The Sea House in Dungloe was the most relaxing and enjoyable holiday. My wife found everything you could possibly want in the house and the furnishings and attention to detail are superb. The views across to Arranmore and beyond were a welcome bonus while sitting on the decking in the evening. Already booked for next year.
