We enjoyed our stay in Ireland immensely! We hope to return and would certainly want to stay in Lismore cottage. The view from the cottage windows was beautiful. The location was convenient to all the sites we hoped to visit. We enjoyed walking to town. The cottage is immaculately kept and the owner could not have been more helpful. Donegal county was beautiful! Our only complaint is that our stay was too short!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lismore Cottage and would love to go back there for another holiday. The cottage is in a beautiful elevated position down a quiet road near the town and it has the most beautiful views of Donegal Bay. The house is clean, light, modern, spacious, well equipped and very comfortable. In particular, we loved the conservatory, dining area (both with wonderful views) and the kitchen. The beds are really comfortable, the showers very good and it was very quiet at night. In fact, we found the house perfect for our needs.

Our host, Richard, was very efficient when making the booking and arrangements, returned emails very quickly and was very friendly and approachable. He had also left us details of local restaurants, tourist info. etc., which all made us feel very welcome and at home! I would have no hesitation in recommending this house for a self catering stay in a lovely corner of Donegal.

We spent a very relaxing weekend in Lismore cottage recently. The well maintained cottage is ideally situated within strolling distance of the town yet enjoying spectacular scenery overlooking the bay. The house is fully equipped down to the smallest detail with everything one could need. The unexpected extras, mobile phone and charger, books, cds etc, were a pleasant surprise. The next time we are in the region we will definitely try to stay here as we couldn’t ask for any more from a holiday home.

We had a really great time at the cottage which had fantastic facilities and a real homely feel. The weather was really nice in the evening so we were able to enjoy the excellent views of the bay. The only problem was that we couldn’t stay for longer. Thanks very much again for making our stay so enjoyable. The next time we come to Donegal town we will certainly be in touch.

We found that Lismore Cottage was the best holiday cottage we’ve experienced, a spacious, well-designed and superbly equipped place to relax all day, with beautiful long sea and countryside views in all directions…and a pleasant short walk to the town of Donegal. It is also ideally located to explore the counties of Donegal, Sligo, Leitrim, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry. We loved Lismore Cottage so much, we will definitely return the next time we want to stay in southern Donegal.

We had a brilliant time during our week in Donegal. The house itself was absolutely beautiful and the views over the bay were spectacular. The cottage had everything we could possibly need and more thanks to Richard and his thorough organisation. I would highly recommend Lismore Cottage to anyone holidaying in Donegal.

Thank you Google for finding us this house.  It’s absolutely perfect –everything is here that we could possibly need. The views are unbelievably beautiful of the sea and the mountains – we would love to take them back to Manchester with us! The house is so clean and well maintained – it’s ideal for us as a family – however would be great for a couple/family who are perhaps bringing their elderly family members, as the ensuite bathroom on the ground floor would be perfect!  Or another ideal would be for a couple of families – as there is so much space (and various beds!) – you certainly wouldn’t feel like you’re crammed in! It’s huge! it’s not the last time we will be here. We will be back!”
