Kiln Fort

We’ve just spent a week here with my in-laws, husband and 18 month old and it’s fair to say everyone had a brilliant time. The property is well maintained and furnished really nicely and crucially there is so much space! No one felt on top of one another and my daughter had an absolute ball (especially as it comes kitted out with so many toys!). Thank you for letting us stay – we’d highly recommend you to friends and family.

Just back from a short trip to Rathmullan & a stay in Ednas beautiful home. The house was all we needed, clean, comfortable, well equipped, spacious & the open plan living / dining & sleeping accommodation was brilliant for our party of 8. We thoroughly enjoyed & would highly recommend. Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay in Edna’s house. We were a family of 11 + an infant, lots of space and catered well for children with stair gates, cots, toys, plastic plates /cups. Lovely peaceful and private location and a 5 minute drive to Rathmullan. Hot tub was easy to operate and a lovely treat in the evenings. The house was spotless and lovely comfy beds. We wouldn’t hesitate to return again.

It was a great family retreat with an open style living and kitchen area making it perfect for lots of people. Private bathrooms for almost every bedroom was a plus. Great hot tub and beautiful scenery. We would stay here again.

We have a wonderful stay! there was 8 adult and 2 kids and there was plenty of space for all of us. We wanted somewhere peaceful and thats exactly what we got. Couldn’t have asked for anything more. Edna was super, very responsive and nothing was too much to ask for. definitely will be staying again.

Absolutely fantastic house to stay in. The house was extremely clean and all amenities were as described. The whole house was beautiful and there was plenty of room inside and outside for the adults and for the kids to play. The garden was very safe for young kids as it was set well back from the road and the road was extremely quiet. We used the hot tub every evening of our 4 night stay and it was brilliant. Despite the cold evening temperatures the water in the hot tub heated up very quickly and we were all toasty in the water. We were a family of 8 adults and 3 very young children and we all enjoyed ourselves. I would highly recommend this house to stay in and would most definitely stay in it again.

We’re always together which was important for us. We had fab weather and the views from the house just enhanced our stay. The kitchen provided plenty intensive crockery etc for us to have our meals and we enjoyed the hot tub as an extra exciting thing to our weekend Would definitely love to go back for another visit

Fantastic stay with plenty of space for 10 of us, lovely location with the beach and town just a few mins away. Edna was very helpful and we would highly recommend, will go back!

great stay and great house. we booked this for my mum’s 65th (6 adults and 3 children) and there was plenty of space. hot tub was great and nice open plan living and dining area. plenty of warm water

Just home from a long weekend at Edna’s house celebrating my 60th birthday with my two daughters, sons in law and three grandchildren. The house was absolutely perfect. The large open plan living space was fantastic with a stunning view of the countryside from the large front window, the kitchen was kitted out with everything you could possibly need. It was great that each family had their own en-suite bathroom. Im fussy about beds and the mattress I slept on was incredible, infact id love to know where it’s from so I can buy one for myself! The kids had a ball on the swings and slide and the adults had a ball in the hot tub which had been refilled with fresh water on the day we arrived. We really did feel like we were staying in a friend’s home especially with all the personal touches like wall art, books, LPs etc. We also loved Rathmullan itself. Shout out to the Beachcomber bar for THE best pint of Guinness my son in law had ever tasted and Belles Kitchen for coffee. Thanks so much!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful house in Donegal. The location is perfect—right in nature, peaceful and quiet, making it an ideal getaway for families or groups looking to relax. The house was very spacious, with plenty of room for our group of 10 adults, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Having enough bathrooms for everyone made our stay very convenient.
The kids absolutely loved the toys and playground area, which kept them entertained for hours, while the adults enjoyed the peaceful surroundings. There was also plenty of parking space, which was very handy for our group.
The property is also in a great location, close to the beach and Tropical World, giving us lovely options for day trips. We really enjoyed this break with our friends and kids and made some fantastic memories. We’d happily recommend it and would love to return in the future

Perfect location for our weekend stay. Amazing for families with young children as safety proofed and there was toys in the house and outdoor activity areas!

We have recently returned from Edna’s place after spending a family weekend there for my Mum’s 60th birthday. Edna was very helpful and responsive- providing local taxi numbers and food recommendations. Check in was clear and easy. The house itself was gorgeous. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and contained everything we needed for a perfect weekend. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and would stay again. Thank you!
