Dooey Hill House

Dooey Hill House is a modern 4-bedroom wifi-equipped holiday home located on the Rosguill Peninsula 4km north of the popular seaside resort of Downings. From its elevated site, the holiday home enjoys breathtaking views over the Atlantic Drive towards the ocean and is only a short walk away from the beautiful, secluded Dooey beach.

The holiday home is situated along the route of the renowned Atlantic Drive – a truly spectacular coastal drive around the rugged Rosguill Peninsula. To drive or walk along this wonderful coast road is to feel life’s difficulties slipping away. The official start of the road is in Downings village. It winds its way north along the shores of Mulroy Bay towards Melmore Head – past the renowned Singing Pub and numerous unspoilt beaches and inlets. All along this part of the drive there are dramatic views of the Fanad Peninsula on the other side of the Bay – including some breathtaking views of the new Mulroy Bridge that links the Fanad and Rosguill Peninsulas.

Amazing Stay

We travelled from Australia and were staying in this house from Boxing Day.
It’s a cosy house, with plenty of space. The heaters and fire place work great. And the views of the coast are amazing. If you’re looking to switch off and enjoy everything Donegal has to offer stay here. The hosts/owners were really welcoming and easy to deal with. If we ever return to Ireland we’d stay here. (We wish we headed up to the house earlier)

We will be back

We had the most amazing stay over Christmas. Perfect sized accommodation for a small or large group. And the owners were really easy and great to deal with. The house is in an amazing location. Great heating and fireplace. Large rooms and kitchen

House was so clean and views were amazing, the facilities were spot on and beds so comfortable. Tracey was a great host extremely friendly and nothing was too much bother . Will definitely book again!! A top-class home from home to enjoy much needed peace and tranquility that Donegal certainly brings.
