17 The Fort Greencastle

We have just had a holiday at this house last week. We had a warm welcome from Francis and Kay. The house is excellent. The views from the balconies are unbelievable. There is nothing more that they could have provided for our stay. Ideal location, handy for eating out and coastal walks. Thank you until our next stay.

Stayed at the 17 fort in September as a group of 4 met Francis and Kay on arrival and were shown all around this beautiful home 3 great double rooms good mattresses plenty of towels great showers reclining chairs and a fully kitted out kitchen everything was spotless and you can clearly see that this property is looked after now onto the views WOW because of the positions of the balcony you can see clearly for Miles left and right without any upstrutions we had a great 4 night stay and didn’t want leave but I’m certain we will be back again thank you Francis and kay for sharing your home with us David & Melanie

This was a very special stay for my mother and myself over Christmas. Waking up to the beautiful view of Lough Foyle from the bedrooms is an experience we’ll never forget! Francis and Kay were very accommodating. They met us at the property to show us around. Providing logs to light the wood stove fireplace and adding a few Christmas lights was a really lovely touch that made us feel right at home. There are beautiful walks right from their doorstep. We extended our stay an extra night and it was still very hard to leave! We will definitely be back again.

As a previous reviewer said, I’d give Francis’s place 10 stars if I could! Spectacular location, AMAZING views, superb comfortable accommodation, fully equipped kitchen, lovely touches like the throws to keep you warm on the balcony, a BBQ & the bikes…I could go on and on… all in all a top class rental. Francis and Kay were very helpful with every query. We absolutely loved our stay and we will definitely be back!!!

The view is worth the stay alone! The kitchen had everything we needed, sheets and towels were soft and very clean. Labels throughout the place made it easy to use, and there was also a binder with suggestions for the local area. We enjoyed just sitting on the swinging chair on the balcony to take in the views.

We stayed at this house for 4 nights. Highly recommend. We really enjoyed our stay. First time to Donegal and won’t be our last. The views from the apartment are outstanding. So close to all attractions such as malin head and giants causeway. The communication was the best i have come across. No matter what time i messaged Francis he responded within minutes. They were so welcoming when we arrived and we cannot wait to return again. We have stayed in many places throughout Ireland but this one is top of the list now. There is a walkway along the coast from the apartment which brings you into greencastle village. We walked this on an evening when the sun was setting and it was absolutely beautiful.
